Developing language analysis
1) I think the poet repeated the phrase “I looked” because he did partly the same thing. I think it means he had the same reaction from both things
3)”seven days and seven nights I saw that curse and could not die”
The bridge rewrite
I was at home then I decided to go for a walk. Then I saw a women I had never seen before. She approached me and asked me a lot of questions . I answered her to the best of my ability. She asked me normal questions like what I do for a living and things like that. So after she was finished talking I asked her why I hadn’t met her before because I know most people in my village.
book report
I have been reading harry potter and the prisoner of askaban. I have gotten up to when Harry ,Hermione and Ron have their first lesson with Hagrid. Right now Ron and Hermione are both angry at each other so it is silent when they are together .my favorite bit has been when they met the hippogriffs because i have seen the film so I know what they look like but i like ti hear what the author pictured them as.
Book review
I have been reading harry potter and the prisoner of askaban. I have read o about chapter seven where they are learning about divination (the ability to see the future). So far most of there characters/attitudes have changed. for example Hermione Granger, a student who usually agreed with every thing the teachers, is now starting to question teachers and answering back my favorite part so far has been the devination lesson because every thing starts to go wrong
Wide Reading Project
During the year you will be asked to read a wide range of texts. Using texts studied in class as well as texts you have selected you will also complete a log of the reading process. Overall you will read eight texts including at least six written texts and two visual texts. You will complete log entries on each text and present a report on your findings.
Attached is the outline of your required personal reading project – inside is the guidance you need to make sure your own-choice reading is going to meet the wide reading criteria.
You can always ask your teacher for advice about which texts would be best to concentrate on – and once you’ve read each text, you’ll then be asked to write a journal entry on your blog explaining how it helped develop your understanding of The Individual and Society.
This year everyone in the school will be required to have a ‘book at hand’ – and for English students, it makes a good idea to make that book one that helps you towards this reading project.
